Title:
  Mouse freezes after screensaver lock

Status in “xorg-server” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
With either gnome-screensaver or xscreensaver, if I lock the screen
(or let it autolock) and leave it for hours (e.g., over night), when I
unlock the screen, the USB mouse is frozen. A PS/2 keyboard still
works, I can alt-tab between windows and interact with applications,
but neither mouse movement nor clicking work. (I have not tried my USB
keyboard to see if it is also frozen, that just occurred to me.)

Running startx -- :1 in the console starts up a second X session with
a working mouse; however, the mouse still does not work in the
original X session. Restarting the original X session (e.g., by
killing gnome-session and waiting a few seconds for gdm to come up
again) causes the mouse to start working again.

This began occurring immediately after upgrading to 11.04.
