I get the impression that reporting bugs as a user is a complete waste of time.

The whole system got frozen; only the mouse cursor moved (smoothly), though its animation (which at that moment was a circular waiting animatiion) got frozen. The system wouldn't respond to any click nor keystroke, not even ctrl+alt+f1. There was nothing to do but shut down the computer by holding the power button. All unsaved data lost. Since 12.04 or so, Ubuntu has become more unreliable and unstable than Windows.
