Title:
HD TV detected, shown as connected, but no HDMI signal - eeeBox
  EB1012, Nvidia ION VGA [10de:087d] (rev b1)

Status in “xserver-xorg-video-nouveau” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Using up-to-date Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS, no binary drivers, the external
HDMI display (HD TV) is detected and shown as connected in xrandr and
the DIsplay Settings utility, yet there is no signal and the screen
  remains black.

VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation ION VGA (rev b1)

I've tried the binary drivers too, there seems to be an EDID reporting
problem leading to possible manual configuration / modeline creation /
  xorg.conf editing, etc.

I am reporting this bug on a vanilla, no-binary Nvidia drivers install
for tracking purposes and so other people interested in this system
know it doesn't work with HDMI if using just the Nouveau driver.
