Daniel Senderowicz, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't
been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xorg-server REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is
already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one
would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
  low resolution in monitor

Status in “xorg-server” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
After upgrading to 12.04 the resolution is stuck at 1152x864, while
the maximum resolution of this Dell 20" is 1600x1200, it was working
fine on 11.04 and 11.10. If I open "system-settings"->displays it does
not detect the maximum resolution. I used xrandr and after the window
shows the new resolution. However when I click on it the screen goes
dark and comes back in a minute back in the same condition as before
without showing any longer the 1600x1200 option. I also played with
the xorg.conf forcing the "mode" to be 1600x1200 to no avail. Let me
know if you need further help.

  Thanks.

  Daniel
