X server sometimes crashes after sleep

Bug description:
If I close the lid of the notebook without external power, it goes
into sleep state. However sometimes (but not always!) after resuming,
X crashes, I only see everything disappear and lightdm screen can bee
seen again, with sigsegv info in kernel message buffer (dmesg) etc.
Note that crash is not instant: after resuming usually I work
something like half a minute before crash happens.
