afoglia, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xorg-server REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is
already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one
would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
  Xserver segfaults randomly

Status in “xorg-server” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I'm getting random crashes from my xserver. They seem to be occurring
after three or four days of uptime, and doing something as innocuous
as switching a tab in my browser.

  From one of the logs:

One crash happened in KDE, the other in XFCE.

My laptop is an HP Envy 14, and I'm using the integrated (Intel)
  graphics.

(I would try the ubuntu-bug xorg command, but in trying to fix this, I tried
to update to quantal, and the newer version of xorg, and that's screwed my
packaging so I now have to reinstall. I'm downloading Debian.)
