Erick Brunzell, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .
If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xorg-server REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful. Thank you for your understanding. I just wanted to let apport do it's job of collecting info so I could share the same with Jeremy Bicha. I'm more specifically testing the newest gdm from the Ricotz staging PPA, and this crash appeared attempting to log out with auto-login selected in system settings. The log out function seems to work perfectly as long as auto-login is not selected, but I suspect the timed log-in settings in gdm prevent it from working properly if auto- login is selected. It may be worth looking at bug 507345 and bug 755695 to see if this is a regression. Also changing to lightdm solves the log out problem, and therefore does NOT produce this crash.
