blue balls, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /daily-live/current/ .

By "display is jerky" I mean: 1. Jerky playback with gmplayer: the image refreshes a few times per second but not 24-30 times as it should. The result is a jerky movement. 2. When moving or resizing a window on the screen, the movement in also jerky and not fluid. Again it seems that the window is redrawn only a few times per second. These symptoms appear ONLY ON THE 64 BITS, not on the 32 bits version. I checked the CPU consumption during the playback with gmplayer and it's way less than 100%. The CPU consumption is similar between the 64 and 32 bits versions.
