granjerox, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /daily-live/current/ .
If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-video-intel REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful. Packages are Updated today (04/10/2012) in recovery mode . 1st It freezes at splash screen, but in recovery mode woks fine. 2nd Managed to pass splashscreen and login with nomodeset or i915.modeset=0, but then i had no acceleration and a poor graphics resolution 3rd With i915.modeset=1, passes splash screen and unity.greeter shows with a propper resolution but after loging ubuntu freezes and there is no mouse nor keyboard response. ctrl+alt+del, ctrl+alt+f1 nor R-E-I-S-U-B method reboots PC, i had to shutdown long pressing power button.
