InterAnt, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-video-ati REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is
already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one
would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
ATI Radeon 9600 problem using ubuntu-supported driver

Status in “xserver-xorg-video-ati” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Hello there.
I have a particular problem and would like your help.

I am using Ubuntu 10.04, but the same happened in the previous
version. From time to time (not always), my screen gets fuzzy and the
only solution is to reboot the computer.

My graphic card is an ATI and ubuntu-supported driver (afaik)
  sudo lspci | grep ATI
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV350 AP [Radeon 9600]
01:00.1 Display controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV350 AP [Radeon 9600]
(Secondary)

  I have xserver-xorg-video-ati and xserver-xorg-video-radeon installed
but on the Hardware Drivers window, it says: "No Propertary drivers
are in use on this system.".

As you can see from the picture (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/707011
/Screenshot-part.jpg), all the screen is fuzzy except the cursor
  arrow.

  Any suggestion is welcome.
