Title:
Suspend overrides Shutdown
Status in “pm-utils” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
I am using the amd64 version of Ubuntu 13.10 which was updated from
13.04 on a Lenovo Thinkpad X220i.
I have my laptop configured to suspend when I close the lid. I did
this through the GUI in System Settings > Power.
When I go to Menu (I don't know the name of the menu. It's in the
upper righthand corner and looks like a power button) > Shutdown... >
Shutdown and close the lid of my laptop, the laptop suspends. When I
open the lid of the laptop, the laptop resumes and completes the
shutdown sequence.
In previous versions of Ubuntu (13.04 and as far back as I can
remember), the shutdown sequence would complete despite the fact that
I closed the lid. This is what I expect to happen.
This started happening as soon as I updated to 13.10.
