AlainKnaff, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /daily-live/current/ .
If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-video-ati REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful. Thank you for your understanding. My graphics card is: 01:05.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RS690 [Radeon X1200 Series] With the radeonhd driver, it seems to only be able to output 1352x768 to VGA, whereas with DVI I get the full resolution. With the radeon driver, I can get the full resolution in VGA as well, but this one does not seem to be accelerated (displaying a page with some animated gifs make's Xorg's CPU usage jump to almost 50%) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-ati/+bug/956528/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
