Hi Christopher,
I'm still running some long simulations on my computer and haven't had the
chance to try out the new Ubuntu. However, in the meanwhile I was searching
around and saw that this (fixed) bug is a duplicate of the one I reported:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openbox/+bug/997212

I hadn't realized it was an Openbox-specific issue, which is likely why these
weren't merged earlier. Anyways, after applying the suggested patch I haven't
been able to reproduce the problem. It was somewhat difficult to reproduce
before, but I tried all kinds of things I'd been afraid to do for the last year
and a half, with no problems.
Also from my reading, it sounds like this bug was specific to Openbox users
with 12.04, and that the issue disappeared for 12.10 and beyond.
So I'd suggest that you do two things:
1. Update the default Openbox binary in the Ubuntu repositories for 12.04 to
the patched version.2. Mark my reported bug as fixed.
Thanks,Dan

Hi Christopher,Thanks for the idea; I hadn't thought of trying that out. I'll
see if I can get to it in the next couple of days.
