Zhang Weiwu, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-video-ati REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is
already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one
would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
  "ZaphodHeads" configuration read but ignored

Status in “xserver-xorg-video-ati” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Reproduce:

  1. Configured ZaphodHeads to use only one output. Start X.
  2. in Xorg.log it is correctly read, nevertheless it grab all outputs and
display mirrored content on all of them.

  Expected:

  1. X only uses the specified output. The other output have no
  graphical content.

Provided the xorg.conf file to reproduce the problem and the Xorg log.
Doubchecked the output name in "ZaphodHeads" configuration is correct.

P.S. The xorg.conf also specified only one monitor being used (with
Option "Monitor-LVDS" "Monitor0" and that only one Screen is defined
to use it), X nevertheless used both screens - perhaps because RandR
is kept on, but ZaphodHeads should have higher priority over RandR,
  right?
