I have the same machine as when I reported that bug, and I can tell you that today I am running Fedora 19 and the bug is here too. If right now I close the laptop lid or suspend, when it comes back the screen will be black. Nothing helps but cycling power. I'll download an ubuntu image to usb and follow up.
