I think this is too much of a ad-hoc solution. It is easy to implement especially for cross-platform but it isn't too difficult to implement this along with html5 video. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc144066%28v=vs.85%29.aspx Better done right IMO !? But definitely needs a bump. I have shifted back to flash plugins since I had this issue.
