After a fresh re-install from 12.04.1 desktop i386 iso, up-to-date. No
CTRL+ALT+F[1,6], No ALT+SysRq+REISUB effect.
(even with the laptop trick: hold 'Alt', hold 'Fn', hold 'SysRq', release
'Fn', press key.)
