Gerrit Addiks, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? After debugging Xorg using another computer, i came to the conclusion that synaptics causes a stack-smash somwhere inside the function HandleState (called by ReadInput). The stack smash was detected after HandleState finished.
