Title:
File-roller 3.10.1 - double clicking on column separator makes cpu go
high, makes x unresponsive for a while
Status in “file-roller” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
On the latest file-roller in Ubuntu 13.10 (I'm using Xubuntu) if you
open a zip file that contains a large number of files (30.000+), and
double click on the column separators (IE: Name) it makes X
unresponsive, the CPU jumps to 99% and once the program is done who
knows what the column is resized to 1px making it dissapear.
This is a bit disconcerting for end users as their computer becomes
unresponsive, and if they look elsewhere their column has disappeared.
If the end user closes File-roller then the size of the columns is
saved (who knows why someone thought this was a good idea is a
question for another day) so when they open another zip file the
column that was resized to 1px appears missing.
This problem affects any column.
