Before reporting the bug there was a bigger scroll area. On the toch pad of the Acer Travelmate 8571 is printed a arrow for scrooling. But now (I think since smaller area) is two finger scrolling available. So you don't neet to use the smaller area, you can use two fingers. And the small area is useable, too.
So I think we could close the bug.
