Hi, This is no longer an issue as the computer and video card have been disposed of.
Thanks for your help. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-ati in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/612799 Title: Random pixels turn on and off on Radeon 9200 Status in “xserver-xorg-video-ati” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: This is my first bug report, so my apologies if there's a breach of etiquette. I am having what seems to be a video memory leak issue after upgrading to 10.04 Lucid. Pixels in letters and numbers will randomly turn off and on after roughly one hour of use. Graphics are unaffected by this. Logging out and in again clears the problem for a while. The video card is an ATI Radeon 9200 which ran fine under Karmic. I haven't really been able to reproduce the bug but it sometimes becomes noticeable when I run evince a couple of times. I have a screenshot of the phenomenon if anyone's interested. I may need help in extracting the versions of xorg and other packages. Sorry for the trouble. Many thanks for your help.
