@Jhonny, not that I'm aware of (still unassigned). I have tried install the version that came with Raring (v 3.6.2-0ubuntu3) with the cheese-common (version of Raring) and some other package (that I can't remember now) that was needed. This did not help, so I guess that the problem must be among the dependencies.

The video is then never recorded and I am unable to also take pictures unless I restart cheese. This problem did not occur in Ubuntu 13.04 - which is why I created this new report.
