Title:
  Please use xdg-mime and xdg-settings from xdg-utils

Status in “chromium-browser” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
chromium-browser has its own, out-of-date, versions of xdg-mime and
xdg-settings. Apparently this is not necessary, as the Debian package
  simply depends on xdg-utils.
