I've tried recreating this bug with quantal and was unable to, given the
information you've provided. Please upgrade Ubuntu and re-test. If the bug is
still reproducible, maybe you have some external and unofficial repository that
broke the dependency chain. Please post somewhere your /etc/apt/sources.list
and /etc/apt/sources.list.d/* files
Do feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

just executed:
update-manager installed all packages
sudo apt-get upgrate
sudo apt-get update
