I discussed this with Alberto Milone, and he writes: The fix is trivial. It's just a matter of adding the /usr/lib32/ path in /etc/ld.so.conf.d/x86_64-linux-gnu_GL.conf (or in /etc/ld.so.conf.d/i386-linux-gnu_GL.conf).
