Reopen it. I have the same problem with GB English spelling being correct and I want US-Englsih spelling to be correct. This is annoying and needs to be corrected. It has persisted across several versions of Firefox. I am using Version 7.0 now.

When I type words like 'color' and 'favorite' they are marked as misspelled (I can see the red lines now ;) but they are clearly spelled correctly. The spelling suggestions offer the UK alternatives ['colour' and 'favourite', respectively]. This leads me to think that the US English dictionary is not correct.
