Users and Groups missing recently?

I use Users & Groups frequently - it was there a couple of days ago and now
it seems to have gone.
gnome-system-tools has been re-installed - still no go.
Googling showed someone else had also reported this to several Q&A
sites - on Askubuntu his report had been unceremoniously bounced
suggesting he reported it on launchpad. (He doesn't appear to have
done so!).
