Eugene, no those were not my settings for suspend behavior. It is set to suspend after 10 minutes on battery and when the lid is closed. On AC it is set to never suspend over time or when the lid is closed. Furthermore, changing the dconf settings was not effective, the behavior returned after a reboot, which is happening quite a bit with this beta.
Though, there have been some recent updates to this and it seems to be honoring my settings now as it was not suspended when I woke up this morning. However, there is still a major issue with the screensaver. When set to "Never" it activates immediately, leaving the best alternative option of "1 hour." This "1 hour" setting is also not honored and I'm unable to watch fullscreen flash or movies without the screensaver activating every few minutes. Any information on this would be appreciated, including a bug specifically targeted at this unexpected behavior. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/854624 Title: [oneiric] Gnome3/Unity session fails to apply suspend/hibernate parameters, set by "Power Settings" dialog Status in “gnome-power-manager” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Gnome3/Unity session fails to apply suspend/hibernate parameters, set by "Power Settings" dialog. * Display related parameters works as expected. * Manual suspend/hibernate (via lid close or system indicator) works perfectly. * In some cases rebooting after changing parameters helps (confirmation required).
