Title: Jaunty: NotifyOSD doesn't display the first message from pidgin whilest a movie is in full screen mode Status in Pidgin: New Status in “notify-osd” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in “pidgin-libnotify” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Binary package hint: notify-osd RELEASE: Jaunty CD/DVD VARIANT: amd64 Ubuntu cd ISO BUILD: 20090226 SYMPTOMS: If you receive a message in pidgin but the pidgin window is closed rather than getting a message from NotifyOSD the window appear behind the full screen movie and you get no idea that there is a message until a second message is sent. CAUSE: STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1. Install jaunty on a test box 2. Start Pidgin open a bonjour account 3. Open a full screen movie in totem 4. Send a message from another box use bonjour 5. Note no notification for the first message 6. Send a second message 7. Note the notifyosd now produces a message. This maybe a bug in Pidgin but it was the notify window that was missing.
