We got gnome-menus 3.10.1 in trusty now, which should have this upstream
fix. Please reopen/yell if it's still a problem with that version.

I am using Ubuntu 13.10 with cairo-dock and gnome.
The "others" menu entry is full of everything (21 menu entrys)
Example:
Libre Office, teamviewer, firefox and so on.
