Bug description:
CID: 201204-10924 Lenovo V480
The resolution cannot be adjusted with the NVIDIA proprietary driver
installed.
Steps:
1. Install 12.04.3 + update (3.8.0-33) + NVIDIA proprietary driver
(nvidia-319-updates)
2. Boot to desktop
3. Try to adjust the display resolution with the "Display" applet
4. Try to adjust the display resolution with "xrandr" in a Terminal
Expected result
- Resolution could be adjusted.
Actual result
1. When you try to adjust it via the "Display" applet, the following error
message will pops-up:
GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: No such interface
`org.gnome.SettingsDaemon.XRANDR_2' on object at path
/org/gnome/SettingsDaemon/XRANDR
2. When you're using xrandr to adjust it:
xrandr --output LVDS-0 --mode 800x600 -r 60 --verbose
Xorg will be killed and restarted, leads you to the Login screen.
