Title:
Network Manager should only request new secrets during the initial
connection for wired interfaces
Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Hi everyone,
Network Manager received a patch so that it only requests new secrets during
the initial connection for WiFi connections in 2012:
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/NetworkManager/NetworkManager/commit/?id=30fe3e18766367d159dfb16d7ca5559d7dc58b9a
This patch has been ported for wired connections:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=720265
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/NetworkManager/NetworkManager/commit/?id=6b5d31954fa655b47a9928f61d34ca74f92a953e
Can we include the upstream patch for wired connections in Trusty?
(The patch for WiFi connections is already present)
Best,
Michael Schaller
