Title:
unrequested screen brightness changes-ubuntu 13.10
Status in “gnome-screensaver” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Prefer the screen brightness set to ~66%, occasionally I set to 95%.
Wherever the the setting is left, the next time I boot the brightness
has changed; usually to ~47%, sometimes 100%
Using a Dell Vostro 1720, dual booting Win7 Pro and Ubuntu 13.10
Plenty of hard drive available, plenty of ram available!
Just boot into 13.10, click onto 'Brightness|Lock', pull brightness
bar to ~66% and then return to use the m/c.
shut down sometime later, Just boot into 13.10, click onto
'Brightness|Lock', and lo & behold bar now at typically ~47%
Sometimes do not have to shut down, brightness just changes.
