'Show Desktop' icon in Unity Launcher unresponsive

Bug description:
My apologies if I am not filing this bug properly, for example, I'm
not sure if a bug related to the Unity Launcher belongs to x.org or
not.
I selected "Add show desktop icon to the launcher" under Settings ->
Appearance. The icon appears in the launcher, and usually works as
intended, but sometimes it doesn't react on the first left click, but
only after a second click. A pretty minor bug, but I thought I should
report it.
I think I know how to reproduce the effect:
1) starting point: desktop *without* any program in fullscreen view
2) open a program via unity launcher, e.g. firefox, already running in
fullscreen view (i.e. when opened, it will be immediately in
fullscreen view)
3) if the next launcher icon that is pressed is the 'show desktop'
icon, no reaction (the bug). second click on same icon: desktop shown,
as intended.
