screen freezes. I have to switch off the computer

Bug description:
The problem seems to happen when I am using the Firefox and/or the
Thunderbird. The screen freezes, the mouse loses control and I have to
do a hard reboot on the laptop. After rebooting, if the wireless was
initially on, it is off. This happens many times during the day but if
I am not using the previously mentioned software, the error does not
seem to occur.
