marking it invalid. If you are still having this issue, please let us
know which release you are now using, and I will mark it as also
affecting the kernel.

Title:
X11 freezes after wakeup from hibernation
Status in “pm-utils” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Seems to be an issue regardsless of kernel version. With
3.2.0-32-generic a random bitmap / distortion appears on the screen
directly after wakeup, with kernel versions 3.8.0-22-generic and
3.8.0-23-generic the screen is restored correctly but X11 / the system
freezes completely (ie., no ctrl-alt-F1 for a console works anymore).
Steps to reproduce:
- Issue pm-hibernate in a terminal window
- Wakeup machine with ACPI power button
- System freezes
First experienced on a Macbookpro 8,1.
Log info in /var/log/pm-suspend.log doesn't show any information
beyond the usual.
