Title:
returning AC power does not restore screen brightness

Status in “pm-utils” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
I'm running Ubuntu 8.10 on a ThinkPad T30. When I remove AC power the
screen drops brightness as is configured in gnome's power management
UI. When I plug the laptop back in, the brightness is not restored
even though it is configured for 100% in the UI.

I have to use the thinkpad keys to raise brightness back up manually.

Obviously this should be automatic when AC power is restored.
