Title:
Cannot restart after suspend (HP Compaq nx8220)

Status in “pm-utils” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Version: Ubuntu 8.10

  uname -a:
      Linux yossi-laptop 2.6.27-9-generic #1 SMP Thu Nov 20 21:57:00 UTC 2008
i686 GNU/Linux

System was installed yesterday (Jan 20,2009) with all updates.

After suspending laptop seems to wak up but the screen remains blank. I had
to turn off and restart.
A similar problem had been reported in the past, bug #106198, but was solved
by installing from scratch. Mine still persists.

Hibernate does work, presumably well, even though it complains during
  the saving.

I am attaching the two files: dmesg.log and lspci-vvnn.log.

Hope that you can help me.
