Title:
when resuming from suspend, the screen is in a lower resolution than
  the desktop

Status in “pm-utils” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: pm-utils

This has happened more than once, but does not happen everytime.
When resuming from suspend, the monitor resolution is lower than when it was
suspended. The result is I have no access to the toolbar (mine is only at the
bottom of the screen, I removed the one at the top). Sorry if this is the wrong
package, but I had three to choose from and this sounded like the likeliest
candidate. I have no idea why resuming from suspend should change the
resolution of the screen. I upgraded from 9.04, which had upgraded from 8.10. I
never tried under 9.04, since I wasn't on it very long and 8.10 wouldn't
connect the wifi, so I never used it. That means I can't tell you if it is
unique to 9.10 or not.
