Title:
  Instant Resume after Suspend

Status in “pm-utils” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
I am running a minimal installation of Jaunty 9.04 on a Zotac ION
motherboard revision 2 that properly supports S3. I can recreate the
problem 100% by following this procedure after a fresh reboot of the
  box.

  1. Press the Power button on my remote and the system suspends properly.
  2. Press the Power button on my remote and the system resumes properly.
  3. Press the Power button on my remote (without a reboot) and the system
suspends, but then immediately resumes. This step is repeated everytime I
press the Power button on my remote until I reboot.

Just to test if my remote is causing the problem, I disconnected the
USB receiver and used the power button on the case and exactly the
same behavior occurs. In dmesg, I see that it takes 0.392 seconds to
suspend and then immediately begins the resume process which takes 4
seconds to resume. I can see no indication that the system has seen
an event that triggered the resume.

FYI - suspend/resume works 100% everytime in Windows 7 so this is not
  a motherboard issue.
