Lock screen simply crashes/doesn't work.

Bug description:
First, there is no lock screen available on my ubuntu 13.10 gnome 3.10.
Second. however, when I tried to lock the screen with default keyboard
shortcut, It did lock's the screen, but there is no way out for geting it
unlock as the screen goes simply blank. The only option I left is to shut the
system down and restart it.
