Title:
rhytmbox start kills x session
Status in “xorg-server” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
After upgrade to Lucid Lynx(beta) I wasn't able to start Rhythmbox,
meaning it starts and after a second or so my X session gets
destroyed.
lsb_release -rd:
Description: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
Release: 10.04
apt-cache policy rhythmbox:
rhythmbox:
Installed: 0.12.8-0ubuntu3
Candidate: 0.12.8-0ubuntu3
Version table:
*** 0.12.8-0ubuntu3 0
500 http://mirror.switch.ch/ftp/mirror/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
Expected: rhythmbox start
Happened: my x session was aborted
There's not much I can report in addition, gdb's not catching any exceptions
and all I get is back to GDM login screen.
Hopefully it's related to the last reported message which is "rhythmbox:
Fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server :0.0."
