Black screen after a system restart
Status in “xorg-server” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Restarting the system (by pressing the restart button or issuing the
reboot command) causes the system to hang on a black screen on the
next reboot. The boot process seems to work fine, except that it ends
up with a black screen.
Performing an hard reset (hold down the power button for 5+ seconds)
allows the system to start properly again.
