Title:
Apport isn't catching some Xorg crashes

Status in “xorg-server” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
For some time now I've been having a periodic crash where X will slow
beyond the point of unusability, and if I try to VT-switch, it'll
crash outright, leaving me back at the login screen when I switch
back. However, apport never detects the crash, making it difficult to
pin down the culprit or provide useful debugging info.
