Bug description:
Binary package hint: xorg
In Lucid Lynx (with kms disabled on boot to be able to use an externel
monitor with laptop) enabling a compositing environment (either
metacity OR compiz) causes hard GUI freeze and lock-up. Machine was
upgraded from Karmic Koala and no problems with compiz on Karmic.
Additionally (maybe related), cannot use KMS -> dual head; external
monitor has wavy lines and is unusable.
