Inverted thumbnails for KDE task manager widget

Bug description:
When hovering over taskbar entries in latest KDE 4.5 in Kubuntu
Maverick the thumbnails generated by the corresponding desktop effect
are mirrored (upside down). According to the KDE developers this is an
issue with my graphics driver; which is the stock radeon driver
shipped with Ubuntu xorg packages.
This bug was originally reported to the KDE bug database, but closed
because it is believed to be an graphics driver problem by the KDE
