11.04 does not run on acer aspire 5516 notebook

Bug description:
Tried first to upgrade then a dvd install, apparently 11.04 doesn't
support my graphics aperture, but 11.04 does not run in classic mode
either. In summary the system freezes on reboot and neither update
manager nor Firefox does not recognize the I am connected to a
wireless network even though network manager applet indicates that I
am.
So in summary, I finally had to install good Ole 10.10.
