Title:
Freshly installed system doesn't use connected analog monitor
Status in “xserver-xorg-video-ati” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
When installing oneiric ocelot (the "Try ubuntu" feature worked perfectly)
the connected analog monitor started flashing.
Switching to consoles (Ctrl-Alt-F1...) left the screen black.
When I later connected a display device at the HDMI port it worked.
I installed the proprietary ATI drivers (and installed all recommended
updates) and after rebooting the analog monitor worked.
My graphics card uses a Radeon HD 6870.
