Title:
nouveau - xrandr communication fails on secondary monitor
Status in “xserver-xorg-video-nouveau” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
the nouveau driver finds according to Xorg.log an external display
(vga) and the LVDS connected laptop display
[ 25.554] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): Display (Samsung SMS24A450 (CRT-0)) does not
support NVIDIA 3D

[ 25.555] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): Display (LEN (DFP-0)) does not support

[ 25.556] (--) NVIDIA(0): VideoBIOS: 70.06.33.00.04
[ 25.556] (II) NVIDIA(0): Detected PCI Express Link width: 16X

but xrandr doesn't even have a clue about the CRT-0, and so there are
no system settings for external monitors available.

Seems like the communication is broken between these two....
Is there any chance in easy debugging of the randr plugin? Or the
communication of
xrandr and nouveau driver? I also wonder why there is no /sys/class/drm
folder?
