Title:
gimp JPEG image plug-in could not save image

Status in “gimp” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gimp

I just installed Ubuntu Hardy on a new computer and started using it.
I took some photos this afternoon with the intention of cropping them,
sizing them down and emailing them. I got through a few photos, when
all of a sudden them message: JPEG image plug-in could not save image.
You can see the error in the attached image. I tried restarting the
computer but that didn't do anything. I apt-get removed gimp and
  reinstalled it but nothing changed.
